Just a reliable friend

So easy to use! Just plug in drives and let it do the work. Drive fails. Same thing!

Really very nice device, we like it

Not having had a drive fail, we don't know how resilient it is. Other than that, we really like it. Easy setup, great PC software to manage it, great user interface, easy setup, flexible operation, easy upgrade of memory cache, firmware update easy. Overall impressive box. We have used other brands and this is generally better in every way. The ability to survive loss of 2 of 5 drives is the deciding factor. Recommended.

Great NAS Box

This box works well. Faster than most of your boxed units and has more features than most of the competitors. This box also has a msata slot to hybrid the entire system. Most of the sites I see recommend a 64Gb or 120GB card.

Buyer beware

For the most part the Drobo is fine. However, the warranty is only 1 year, and after your warranty expires Drobo's tech support will not even email you unless you buy a service contract. My Drobo was fine for 18 months. I had a drive fail, the Drobo did exactly what it's designed to, and I replaced the bad drive. Ever since then it's been unbearably slow. Drobo refuses to help me, so I've since replaced my Drobo with a competing product.

Couldn't be happier

It's a great product. I was up and running in less than an hour. It's very easy to use. It was highly recommended to me, and I'm happy to pass along the same recommendation. Hopefully this will be the last backup drive i need. I have it running through the router so all computers (some macs and some pcs) all access the files at the same time. I stream movies from it over the wifi and it works perfectly - no glitches at all.
