What Is An LED HDTV? An LED-backlight LCD television is an LCD TV that uses LED backlighting instead of the CCFLs used in traditional LCD televisions. It is not a true LED display but is called "LED TV" by some manufacturers. The use of LED backlighting has a dramatic impact, resulting in a thinner panel, less power consumption and heat dissipation, and a brighter display with better contrast levels. The LEDs can come in three forms:
LED backlighting techniques: An LED-backlit TV: RGB dynamic LEDs This method of backlighting allows dimming to occur in locally specific areas of darkness on the screen. This can show truer blacks, whites and PRs at much higher dynamic contrast ratios, at the cost of less detail in small bright objects on a dark background, such as star fields. Edge-LEDs: This method of backlighting allows for LED-backlit TVs to become extremely thin. The light is diffused across the screen by a special panel which produces a uniform color range across the screen. Full Array LEDs: Many brands use LED backlighting technology and may offer a range of benefits over CCFL LCD TVs such as reduced energy consumption, better contrast and brightness, greater colour range, more rapid response to changes in scene and a capacity to provide the means to render an image more accurately. Fantastic TV. Fantastic price.
I wanted to wait a few months to write a review, so that I could really familiarize myself with the TV. Overall, I highly recommend this product, but I'll start with what I don't like. I noticed right away, that the screen itself has a tendency to have a glare if you are in a room with windows and the sun is bright. I think that the base allows the TV to wobble a little too much when being moved. My last complaint is that the sound is kinda flat. I have a surround sound system, so this is not an issue. But to anyone buying this without a stereo, do not expect to be blown away. Other than that, everything works great. It's a beautiful TV and I have receieved a lot of compliments on it. Xbox 360 and Blu-ray movies look absolutely amazing!

Not Bad for the price
TV HDMI viewing is not as good as most. 3D is very nice. WiFi is OPera web brower is much slower than a PC. Biggest problem was with ordering. First TV came without 3D glasses. Instead of shipping them separately, TV without glasses was sent back and the same TV with separate glasses was shipped. It made no sense and wasted my time and their money.

The sound is weak and the base tends to collect dust. I am happy with purchase and value received. Easy set up also.

my gut instincts
No one would give me an answer regarding the Hisense quality but I saw it with my own eyes and purchased it. Service was great, delivery was quick, the deal was FAB! and best of all the TV is top quality.

Good value great picture
I have had this set for about a month and am very happy with the features and the picture. However, plan to invest in a sound bar or other sound system because you will not be happy with te sound that comes out of the set. This is still a great set for the price.
