I used this as a fan replacement, it runs quite and comes with all power cables needed for almost all situations.
I put this in with the new CPU heat sink and it makes a big difference in the operation of the computer and they are quiet. This does come with the adaptor connector so you can plug it into the power supply if you don't have enough connectors on your mother board.
Cooler Master Fans are Noisy
There is normal fan noise caused by moving air and then there is bearing noise caused by poor design or material. The 2000 rpm fans have bearing problems that cause a irritating high pitched whine. This is causing problems for my customers. Go with a lower rpm fan for less problems.
I have a Thermaltake V3, and an Asus Sabertooth motherboard with a coolermaster evo cpu cooler. The fans won't fit anywhere, but up front, but the power cable isn't long enough to plug into the motherboard.
Doe what it was meant to
Not sure why people are complaining about this fan being loud because most fans make noise. I suppose it is all relative.
