Recovery Media Most computer systems no longer include "Recovery Media" (Disks or CDs used to restore your computer system to it's factory shipped state). Many do not even include Operating System disks. This is not specific to systems purchased from any one company, but now standard practice throughout the entire industry. However, many manufacturers include software on the hard drive that creates recovery media for you. This allows burning your own set of recovery CDs or DVDs - all you need is the blank media. Inclusion of such a recovery utility varies by manufacturer and model; not all manufactures and models include such a utility. For those that include such a utility we recommend you create your own set of recovery media after completing the Windows installation. In other words, right after you start using your PC! If you fail to do this and encounter a difficulty in the future you may not be able to properly restore your computer. Some manufacturers may have physical recovery media available separately for purchase; consult your owner’s manual support information section for additional information. Systems that do not come with a CD/DVD burner may still include Recovery Disks - please check the manufacturer's specs. |

Not the Best experience
Right out of the box it would not read any CD's and the built in WIFI only picked up 3 bars when the router is on the same level, 2 walls and 15' away. I bought it for the great reviews but returned it for another machine.

Had old Gateway system that was slow it was time to update look to see what was out there and it look to be a gateway again. Very happy with it.

Bad Product
I would never recommend this to anyone. It's our 3rd Gateway and if this is what they are sending now I will never buy another.We sent it back to the company because it wouldn't even turn the monitor on it kept putting it in sleep mode. After 2 weeks it came back now we can't get the text right and Internet Explorer keeps freezing up. I am so frustrated with it that I am ready to pitch it.

Definitely need a better graphic card!
Radeon 6750 has no image sharpening feature. Definitely need to upgrade to a Radeon 7770. I mean gosh, even my old geforce 6000 has image sharpening. One more issue: the top hot-swap hard drive swap has no power. I had to open it up a get it fixed. Want better dispaly? Get the FX6860-UR21P instead.
