Dual Monitor
Technology Few PC users have ever experienced the huge productivity boost that comes from using multiple monitors on the same PC. Ironically, many of today's PC have the capability already installed, and Windows (since 2000) natively supports dual monitors. Configuring dual monitors is so easy: just use the second video port (if there are two separate ports installed), or add a second video card or better yet, a video card that has dual DVI ports. Then plug in your second monitor, change a couple of simple Windows settings, and you have double the Windows Desktop. This lets you have your spreadsheet and email visible at the same time, or PowerPoint and Photoshop. The combinations are endless. And since most of the overhead is handled by the video card, there is little significant impact (if any) on system performance. Dual Monitors is one of the simplest, yet most amazing productivity boosters you can add to your PC! Optionally, you can use a dual monitor stand and recover your workspace in the process!

1920 x 1200 is the ticket
I've been a big fan of the 1920 x 1200 monitors over their lower res cousins from the outset. At work I like to run 2 side by side, but this one I bought for home. This HP has a few features I may never use (the rotate feature is cool, but unneeded by me), but I like the USB ports on the side, the tilt and elevation adjustments. It is very even and bright edge to edge. It came well packed, and is very 'tune-able' with the onboard settings. The base looks a little clunky in the pictures, but is actually pretty elegant in real life, small footprint but with a little built-in tray for objects that tend to roll, like pens. I also own a Acer x243w, visually just as good, not so many features. Note to manufactures: there may be economies for you on the 1920 by 1080 screens, since they match TV res, but for page layout and drafting, the extra res of these big monitors is crucial - they fit 2 pages up much better.
Very nice monitors!
I was a little gunshy about spending double the cost to go from a 1920x1080 to a 1920x1200, but I'm so glad that I spent the extra. These monitors are great, I have plenty of space to work and those extra pixels are great for video editing. The height adjustment is fantastic as well. Kudos to HP for a great monitor!
It's like the pixels are painted on! Sick!
My 10-year-old 1600 x 1200 CRT monitor grew blurry, and I do a lot of CAD work so this wasn't acceptable. There area scads of 1920 x 1080 monitors out there dirt cheap, but I wasn't willing to sacrifice the extra vertical resolution. For $300 this one really is awesome. Crisper than my S0ny Trinitron CRT was even brand new, frees up a couple square feet of desk space, very modern look. Only useless feature is including a 2-port USB hub and then placing the downstream ports BEHIND the screen. But you don't buy a monitor for USB-you buy it for image. And this one delivers very well.
Totally Sweet
Great picture, not bad price! No sure why they put two USB ports on the back side of it, but other than that no complaints!
Fantasic Resolution and Quality
This is a fantastic product. Everything appears so bright and crisp. Great quality for what you're paying for. I didn't know what I was missing until I ran it next to my old 1680 x 1050. I love my old monitor, but this one easily takes the cake. A very tasty cake indeed.
