Poor quality
1rst one card reader did not work, only one of the USB prots owred some times, the second one only 3 of the 4 USB Ports worked,Audioplugs are of very poor quality, now after all the hassel will be upgrading to something better
Not For The Faint Hearted
You will need..2 free SATA headers, 2 free USB headers, & one free Audio header. This not expansion hardware. This product is suited for custom builds. If you are looking for more USB ports or just a card reader, You are more likely better off with a USB hub or an external card reader. Performance wise, I have not had any problems with this unit at all.
DOA Cheap but you get what you pay for
Although the features are great and it looks wonderful in my case this product was DOA. Not much trouble shooting can be done, its a fairly simple product.
Great for the price
not sure what everyone else is talking about. I hooked it up in no time. it works fine. Granted , you have to be gentle with the audio and mic the first few times, because it is a tight fit. But it gets easier later on. It hooked right up. but you have to know how and where to plug it in. My motherboard did not have fire-wire or spdif. so i did not hook them up. But, i never use them anyway. I just needed the USB, and Audio
Do not buy
I bought several of these, anticipating that my days of climbing underneath the desk to hook up a U S B device would be over. Nope. Even though this comes with its own internal power connector, plugging in a single flash drive results in complete failure and an error message stating that the power requirements have been exceeded. I wrote the maker, telling them about the problem and Russ wrote back, saying: The U S B sockets on this device are only for powered devices, not u n-powered devices. A powered device such as a printer that gets its power from a plug into the wall will work correctly when connected through the UPS on the device, while a device that obtains its power from the U S B connection such as a large flash drive will not. I am sorry if this is not what you were wanting when you purchased these devices. Do you see any disclaimer like that ANYWHERE in the advertisement for this device? Neither did I.
