Recovery Media Most computer systems no longer include "Recovery Media" (Disks or CDs used to restore your computer system to it's factory shipped state). Many do not even include Operating System disks. This is not specific to systems purchased from any one company, but now standard practice throughout the entire industry. However, many manufacturers include software on the hard drive that creates recovery media for you. This allows burning your own set of recovery CDs or DVDs - all you need is the blank media. Inclusion of such a recovery utility varies by manufacturer and model; not all manufactures and models include such a utility. For those that include such a utility we recommend you create your own set of recovery media after completing the Windows installation. In other words, right after you start using your PC! If you fail to do this and encounter a difficulty in the future you may not be able to properly restore your computer. Some manufacturers may have physical recovery media available separately for purchase; consult your owner’s manual support information section for additional information. Systems that do not come with a CD/DVD burner may still include Recovery Disks - please check the manufacturer's specs. |

Not acceptable
Computer has had three Texas vacations. Shuts down after a period of time in sleep mode and will not re-boot until unplugged and re-started and then shows error message. Acer online tech support now refuses to recognize SN or support password. Used iYogi tech support six times and they are unable to resolve problem. I am typing this on a 2004 Dell that has never given me any problems. Don't but Acer, Period

VERY GOOD COMPUTER
I was shopping for a replacement for the Systemax I purchased in Jan. of 2006. I like AMD processors and this seemed to be a good deal. I like the computer being quiet compared to to the Systemax and the additional USB ports. I have had the computer for about a week and all seems to be working very good.

ACER BEATS ALL computers for quality and price
I love buying a computer that you can upgrade without having to buy the makers parts only. ACER has the best prices on their computers anywhere. They rock. TigerDirct has the fastest and the most reasonable priced shipping on earth. Love the computer

Product OK, Acer support not so good
Product is a mid range desktop and seems to be OK. We had a problem with the wired LAN and the Internet. Problem was isolated to system. Acer support was the worst I have ever experienced -- wanted me to spend money to diagnose the problem. Finally they issued a RMA for factory repair -- took 10 days. Never again -- buy from an organization that will actually support and service what they sell.

deal
have not sufficiently tried out computer yet and am coming to terms with using windows 7, but am pleased with the product offered. The system is slow at the moment, but in all fairness, it is probably as a result of where we live, as the service is third world..............
